Three developers have brought forward plans to develop over 16GW of new nuclear power at 6 locations, Hinkley Point C, Sizewell, Bradwell, Wylfa, Oldbury and Moorside. Each project will require up to 5,600 construction jobs at peak, equating to 25,000 individual job opportunities on each site. The new build projects will add to the existing demand for nuclear workers in operating and maintaining the current fleet of nuclear energy plants, lifetime extensions of the existing fleet and the ongoing decommissioning projects.
